Pricing and estimates

How much do painters charge in Gainesville?

It depends on square footage, ceiling height, the amount of trim, the condition of the surfaces, and the paint you choose. Two houses the same size can quote very differently if one needs heavy patching or a color change from dark to light. We come out, measure, and give you a written price with the repairs and products listed, free and with no obligation.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes, always, anywhere in our service area. Call or text (352) 328-3659 or send the form. We come out in person, usually within a few days, and leave you with a written quote.

Is there a travel charge for towns outside Gainesville?

No. Anywhere within about 50 miles of Gainesville, including Ocala, Lake City, Palatka, and Chiefland, is inside our normal service area with no travel charge.

What payment methods do you take?

Credit cards, Zelle, Venmo, check, and cash.

Is the 10 percent offer real?

Yes. Mention this website at your estimate and qualifying jobs over $2,500 get 10 percent off. It is our way of saying thanks for finding us online.

Scheduling and the job

How long does a typical painting project take?

A single room is usually a day. A whole-house interior runs three to six days, an exterior three to five, and a kitchen cabinet refinish four to six including cure time. You get a schedule with the estimate and a call if anything changes.

Do I need to move my furniture?

No. We move it to the center of the room, cover it, and put it back when the room is done. We only ask that you take down wall art and small breakables.

Can I stay in the house while you paint?

Yes. We work room by room and use low-odor paints so the rest of the home stays usable. Most of our Gainesville customers never leave.

What about pets and kids?

We are used to both. Tell us which rooms to keep closed and we plan around it. We keep doors shut, tools put away, and drop cloths down so nobody walks through wet paint.

Do you paint in the rain or in summer heat?

We paint exteriors year-round in Gainesville. In summer we start early and plan around afternoon storms. In winter we avoid painting when overnight temperatures drop below what the coating needs to cure. If weather pushes a day, we tell you the day before.

Paint, prep, and finishes

What types of painting services do you offer?

We offer a variety of interior and exterior painting services, including wall painting, ceiling painting, trim and molding painting, cabinet painting, and more. See all services.

Do you supply the paint or do I?

We supply it and it is listed on your quote by product name, so you know exactly what is going on your walls. If you have a specific brand or color in mind, we use it.

Can you help me pick colors?

Yes. We bring samples and paint test patches on your own wall so you can see the color in your light, morning and evening, before committing.

What sheen should I use?

Eggshell or matte for most walls, satin for bathrooms, kitchens, and kids rooms, semi-gloss for trim and doors, flat for ceilings. We show you the difference on your own wall.

How often should a house be repainted in Florida?

Every seven to ten years for a properly prepped stucco exterior, sooner for wood trim in full sun. Interiors depend on wear; high-traffic rooms often want a refresh every five to seven years. A repaint before the old coat fails is much cheaper than one after.

Is cabinet refinishing worth it compared to new cabinets?

For most Gainesville kitchens, yes. The boxes are solid, the finish is what dates them. Sprayed cabinet enamel gives a factory-smooth result in under a week at a fraction of replacement cost, with no demolition. More on cabinet refinishing.
